Mapping your personal pursuit of influence and impact

Accelerating your development and effectiveness as a leader is a personal journey.

Your leadership signature by Greg Pennington PhD bookPart workbook, part journal, part autobiographical, Your Leadership Signature, provokes your thinking as you integrate what you have read about leadership with what you have experienced, using a pathway to guide you to define what makes you the most effective leader you can be.

Leadership can be defined as the intentional exercise of influence on others. Your leadership style, your leadership signature, is a journey shaped by moments large and small.

Some have obvious significance in the midst of their unfolding. Some are more subtle in their implications and previews of what type of leader you will become.

If you were asked to turn to an early and vivid memory of your leadership journey, what would that be and what would it have foretold?

“Discovering your leadership signature”

5 Stars

Combines the analysis of key leadership components with a personal workbook concept to force the self-reflection and questioning necessary to fully understand one’s personal leadership signature. Dr. Pennington asks a critical question, “Are you trying to prove something or improve something?” Great tool for anyone tasked with responsibility for others in achieving a common goal.

“Great Package From a Great Coach”

5 Stars

As a colleague of Greg’s, I’ve been lucky enough to be a beneficiary of his insightful coaching… so seeing him unveil his thinking and approach in this book is fascinating. The book is part wisdom sharing, part storytelling, and part practical/personal exercises… ingredients coming together in an easy-to-read package of high utility.

It’s probably best suited for someone with experience under their belt, as there is (very valuable) content that sparks quite a bit of reflection… and of course, the more of life and business to scroll through in one’s mind’s eye, the richer that reflection might be. Because that’s where I am, I shall find this book to be a phenomenal, ongoing resource as I navigate the “final third” of my career and life. Thank you, Greg, for shining a brighter light on that path.
